This Privacy Policy explains how Makarios IT Solutions (“Makarios”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit this website or get in touch with us. We keep what we collect to a minimum, and we never sell your personal information.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Contact form: your name, email address, and the details of the message or project enquiry you send us.
  • Chat assistant: the messages you type into the chat widget so it can answer your questions.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical data: standard server logs recorded by our hosting provider, which may include your IP address, browser and device type, and the time of your visit. This is used to keep the site running securely.

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiries, prepare quotes, and provide our services.
  • To operate, maintain, and secure the website — including protection against spam and automated abuse.
  • To answer questions through the chat assistant.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

4. Third-party services

We rely on a small number of trusted providers that process limited data on our behalf. Each processes data under its own privacy policy:

  • Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, bot protection (Turnstile), and privacy-first, cookieless web analytics (aggregate visit measurement). May process your IP address and connection metadata.
  • Google (Gemini API) — powers the chat assistant. Messages you send in the chat are transmitted to Google to generate a reply. Please do not share sensitive personal information in the chat.
  • Google Fonts — fonts are loaded from Google’s servers, which may receive your IP address as part of the request.
  • Resend — delivers your contact-form message to our email inbox.

5. Cookies, storage, and analytics

We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The site uses only essential browser storage needed to work correctly — for example, a short-lived session after you verify you’re human in the chat. Cloudflare Turnstile may set a token to confirm you’re not a bot.

To understand how the site is used, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics — a privacy-first analytics tool that is cookieless. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track you across other websites. It records only anonymous, aggregate information such as page views and referring sites, which we cannot use to identify you.

6. Data retention

Contact enquiries are kept in our email only for as long as needed to respond to you and to keep reasonable business records. Chat conversations are not stored on our servers after your session — they exist only in your browser while the chat is open. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider according to their standard periods.

7. Your rights

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), you have the right to be informed about, to access, to correct, to object to the processing of, and to request the erasure or blocking of your personal data, as well as the right to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph). To exercise any of these rights, email makariositsolutions@gmail.com.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and automated-abuse protection. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s privacy

This website and our services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any material change will be reflected by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
